I won a little prize.. Yay!

I am happy to report that after a several year hiatus from entering exhibitions and galleries, I won an Honorable Mention Award for the Fusion Art Gallery “Colorful Abstractions” Art Exhibition.

As it turns out, I was a finalist in this same exhibition back in 2017, so I guess “Colorful Abstractions” are right up my alley!

The gallery will keep the show up on their website for a while, and then it will move to their website archives. This year, the gallery judged 365 entries and accepted 137 artworks into the exhibition, which will be featured on the website homepage for 2 months. So I am pretty happy with the award.

My painting, “In the Afternoon” was really well received on social media, and sold very quickly after I posted it. The painting was created with my “Expanding on Color” methods outlined in the online workshop of the same name here.
