Yay! My painting, "Ocean Front" was selected to appear in the next regional art show at the San Diego Art Institute. (I'm giving extra thought into naming my paintings....by popular demand.. lol I will limit the "untitled's". So here you go....ocean front.) My favorite part of this painting is the rust and dark blues on the lower portion. I created a lot of texture using Micaceous Iron Oxide and Acrylic Ground for Pastels.. really looks like water erosion. Opening night for the new juried exhibition is on June 28th, 6pm. Maybe I'll see you there!
Customers taking online workshops here may start to notice changes in some of the older classes.. like they stopped working. Our network migration has begun and the classes written in 2009 have been moved over to the new website.. if you are a member of the original Layer Love class, Super Nova 1 or Super Nova 2, Pretty Papers and/or Mucho Metallics, you will soon receive an email containing the codes you will need to access your class materials. Add "info at the land of lost luggage dot com" to your address book to avoid missing your key codes.
See you soon...back to work. :)
