Canon 5D Mark II, 50mm; 1.8 ISO 100 1/250
I don't like backdrops..I hardly use my reflectors and speedlights...I like to capture simple, every day moments. I feel like my subjects act real when they are not in the studio setting..and those are the photos I like best. Carson was visiting the other day and I grabbed my camera. These are straight out of the camera aside from one scratch on her face that I retouched.
I get so many photography questions through the website and in person...here is my best advice for anyone who wants to take better pictures: Get the manual...memorize the manual...and get familiar with everything. Don't anguish over image specs..learn how they look when you shoot them. If you have a DSLR, don't use it on full auto...learn it. Practice. Be the camera.
