Why do you enable word verifiction?

I can't read these. I can't. Call me challenged, stupid, an ass, whatever you want...but I'll be honest. I can't read them. I'm done straining my eyes.

Are you afraid of spam? Spam comments? Help your readers. I'm sure everyone would rather you enable moderated comments before word verification. A little spam never hurt anyone, anyway..you can delete it just as easily as the robot sends it to you.

April 29th is Global Anti Word Verification Day... (I just made that up.)..spread the word.

Thank you for your cooperation.

edit: Thank you all for your comments on this post. Regarding spam...what's the big deal? If I get a spam comment, I'll delete it. The bottom line is this: I treat this blog and the people that read it like guests in my own home. I would never ask you to recite the Declaration of Independence or the Lord's Prayer before you entered my home...therefore, I won't ever ask you to enter word verification here. If I get spammed, phished, whatever- it's my problem...I'll take care of it. I would never think of asking each of you to jump through hoops to leave a comment. If you feel the same way, you can take this button; display it proudly:
