The Walls Came Down..

As part of my book writing process, I taped a lot of the images we wanted to use on the door in my studio. Each image was marked with it's assigned page number.

Yesterday I took the wall down. The book has been turned in to our editor and has already been presented to us in its edited format. With everything nice and neat, in one package, there is no need for me to study the arrangement on the wall. (A lot of the original art is on the wall facing the door.)

The door is clean. What should I do now?

Manipulate.

I was not thrilled with the in-person version of this journal spread... but I saw some potential. I threw on some layers in photoshop and I like the altered version much better. What do you think?

Are we sick of chevrons by now?

School starts Monday....these journal pages are a great warm-up for someone like me...who has not painted since May.. a warm-up for getting back to creating...at last.Thank you for visiting!

Julie Returns to Art Journaling

I took a lot of time re-shooting my favorite of favorite art journal pages (2009 - present) and have set them up in a new online gallery for you to see. You can have a look by clicking on "words + paint" on the left side of my blog.

It's good to hear from you. Leave me a comment here or click like if you like the gallery. :)
